Rock'n "h" Herefords
Who We Are
ABH Farms is owned and operated by Allan & Bonnie Woodhouse. We are the older generation working along with Rock'n "h" Herefords which is our daughter, Holly, son-in-law Kevin and their daughters Orianna & Teegan. We are a family-orientated Hereford cattle operation located 5 km north and 11 km east of Hamiota.
We run a small herd of Purebreds along with some commercials. Allan began his involvement with Herefords in 1967, showing in 4-H and many local shows.
We love the Herefords because of their temperments and ease of handling. We still enjoy taking part in the various local shows with our cattle. The cattle keeps us active both physically and mentally and hope we are able to continue to follow our dream and hobby for many years.
The Hereford breed runs deep in our family with another daughter, Faye and her husband Glen and two boys, Joseph and Zane, operating FGP Cattle at Elm Creek, MB. Joseph and Zane love going out to see the calves and have starting showing in 4-H and a few local fairs.
We love to watch all our grandchildren pursue their interests with Hereford cattle, hockey, baseball or whatever their interests are. We are lucky to be able to follow them in their interests and work our holidays around their show days such as Bonanza and other scheduled events. Our grandkids believe we are the oldest thing in the world and after 2 to 3 hours with them, I believe it too!
Grandchildren are God's way of compensating us for growing old. Enjoy them while you can. Visitors are always welcome. The teapot is always on!!
Kevin & Holly Hyndman and the their two girls, Orianna and Teegan own and operate Rock'n "h" Herefords, alongside Holly's parents, Allan and Bonnie. Both the girls are very active in the Canadian Junior Hereford Association, Manitoba Junior Hereford Association and 4-H as well as many school sports. Orianna will be attending her 7th Bonanza this summer is Brandon and is involved in organizing the event. Bonanza 2013 will be Teegan's second year attending. The girls are very excited for the show and the string of cattle keeps getting bigger!!
We are very passionate about the Hereford breed and are very excited about the future. This breed has many wonderful traits; docillity, efficiency, hardiness. These cows make great moms with udders that last!
